It helps to know what your customer sees. Here is the whole booking, step by step.
1. Your website
They arrive at your website, from a link you sent, from Google, or from your Instagram or WhatsApp. They see your business name, your photos, your vehicles and your prices.
2. Choosing a vehicle
They pick the scooter, motorbike, car or tour they want. Each one shows its photo, its description and its price.
3. Choosing dates and times
They choose when they want to pick it up and when they will bring it back. RentalHalo checks straight away whether you have that vehicle free for those dates, and shows the total price.
If a vehicle is already booked, or you blocked those dates, the customer cannot choose them. This is what stops two customers booking the same vehicle.
4. Pickup or delivery
If you have set up more than one pickup location, or you offer delivery, the customer chooses here. Any delivery cost is added to the total.
5. Their details
They enter their name, email address and phone number, so that you can reach them about the rental.
6. Confirming the booking
The customer sees the full price of the rental, and separately the small RentalHalo Booking Guarantee they pay online now. They pay the Booking Guarantee to confirm the reservation. The rental itself is paid to you. See The Booking Guarantee.
7. Confirmation
The customer sees a confirmation page and receives a confirmation email with a link to their booking. From that link they can look at their booking, and change or cancel it if it is still allowed.
At the same time the booking appears in your dashboard under Bookings.
See it yourself
Before you go live, look at your own website the way a customer would, on your phone. Check the photos, the prices and the dates. Your dashboard has a preview link for exactly this.
